FAQ

Questions, answered.

Straight answers about what Wheels Up is, who it is for, and where we are in the launch.

Processing the way it was supposed to work.

A processor should do more than send reminders and forward conditions. Wheels Up is built around full-file ownership: organized submissions, document follow-up, third-party coordination, condition management, closing coordination, and proactive updates from handoff through closeout.

Our goal is simple: give loan officers time to originate while we actively manage processing and keep borrowers informed, supported and moving toward closing.

What makes Wheels Up different?

We sell responsibility, not task completion.

Too many loan officers hire processing support and still spend their day chasing updates, gathering documents, cleaning up submissions, interpreting forwarded conditions and figuring out what happens next. That does not protect origination time — it gives the loan officer another operation to manage.

Wheels Up is built around full-file ownership: a named processor from setup through closeout, active document follow-up and third-party coordination, organized submissions and conditions worked forward, and proactive updates before the loan officer has to ask.

Old-school processing. Modern accountability: the processor actually processes the loan, and the loan officer gets to remain a loan officer.

Are you a lender or mortgage broker?

Neither — and that is the point. Wheels Up is a third-party mortgage processing company. We do not originate loans, advise on loan products, rates or terms, select products, quote or lock rates, underwrite, approve, or fund loans.

Because we never compete for the borrower or the loan, our work is hands-on processing and direct borrower support: we work directly with your borrowers, keep them informed and guide them through what’s needed—explaining processing requirements, following up on documents and answering processing questions—while keeping you connected at every step, so you can keep originating.

Will Wheels Up work inside the systems my brokerage already uses?

Yes. Your LOS stays your LOS.

Wheels Up works within your brokerage’s approved loan-origination system and established lender workflow. We are not asking you to replace the technology your team already knows or introduce another disconnected place to manage the loan.

Before the first file, we map the handoff, access, responsibilities, communication standards, and escalation points so your team knows exactly how the processing relationship will work.

You keep your systems and your lender relationships. Wheels Up takes ownership of the processing operation inside that structure.

Do I need to have my own processor?

No.

Wheels Up can provide a trained in-house processor with backup coverage. If you already have processors you trust, we can also transition them into the Wheels Up operation. You can use our team or bring yours.

What changes for the loan officer after a file is handed to Wheels Up?

The loan officer gets time back.

Wheels Up takes ownership of the processing workflow: file setup, disclosures, document collection and follow-up, third-party orders, submission preparation, conditions, closing coordination, and closeout.

We do not promise that an LO will never hear from us. We promise not to make the LO manage the processor. We bring the LO in when a decision, authority, product choice, pricing matter, rate lock, lender choice or lender-required LO action genuinely belongs with them.

Everyday borrower communication, processing guidance and follow-up stay with Wheels Up: we work directly with your borrowers, keep them informed and guide them through what’s needed—while keeping you connected at every step.

Will you communicate directly with my borrowers?

Yes.

We work directly with your borrowers, keep them informed, and guide them through what’s needed—while keeping you connected at every step.

We explain processing requirements in plain language, follow up on documents, answer processing questions and coordinate next steps. Before the first file, we agree with you on communication channels and escalation, so proactive borrower contact never leaves you guessing.

Loan advice—product selection, rates and terms—stays with you. Everyday borrower communication, processing guidance and follow-up stay with us.

Can the processing fee be paid by the borrower at closing?

Yes—the borrower can pay the processing fee at closing.

Wheels Up gives you full-service third-party processing without adding another fixed payroll expense to your business. We’ll cover the setup during onboarding.

What does Wheels Up processing cost?

Standard processing is $995. FHA Streamlines, VA IRRRLs, HELOCs and closed-end seconds are $495. The processing fee is disclosed and paid by the borrower at closing.

Is Wheels Up only for large brokerages?

No. Nothing is too small or too big.

Wheels Up serves the individual loan officer who needs dependable support and the established brokerage that needs a complete processing operation.

The operation scales. The standard does not: clear ownership, proactive communication, disciplined follow-through and a processor who actually processes the loan.

What does Wheels Up process?

The processing workflow, from setup through closeout.

Wheels Up owns the processing workflow across eight stages: setup and registration, disclosures, document collection and follow-up, third-party orders, submission, conditions, closing and funding coordination, and closeout.

The loan officer keeps origination, product selection, pricing, locks, lender choice and lender-required LO actions. Wheels Up owns the processing work and the follow-through between those decisions—including direct borrower communication, plain-language explanations and disciplined follow-up.
